The Helambu Trek is a popular short trek near Kathmandu, offering a blend of cultural immersion and natural beauty. Spanning approximately 8 days, this trek takes you through traditional Tamang and Sherpa villages, terraced fields, and lush forests, providing insights into local lifestyles and stunning views of the Himalayas.

The journey typically begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, followed by trekking through Chisapani, Kutumsang, Thadepati, and Tarke Ghyang, before concluding at Melamchi Bazaar.

One of the greatest short treks in Nepal is the Helambu Circuit Trek, also known as the Helambu Valley Trek, which is located around 80 kilometers northeast of Kathmandu Valley. Helambu Trek is specifically crafted for those searching for less-traveled places close to Kathmandu. This is the undiscovered route, which is wonderfully well-known for its extraordinary natural beauty, intriguing culture, and pleasant climate.

A variety of animals, such as snow leopards, white monkeys, red pandas, Himalayan Thar, and musk deer, may be spotted during the trip. These settlements have a large number of residences that are located very close to one another. They will give you a sense of the western Nepali villages.

The Helambu Circuit Trek Route will head southwest from Tarkeghyang. You will be moving over gently sloping routes through the forest. As you make your way into Setighyang, you will pass through a few little streams, fields, and charming little towns. You may reach Ghangyul by hiking further.
