Itinerary

Our airport representative will be waiting for you outside the terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu with a sign that reads Green Valley Nepal Treks. A private vehicle will then transport you to your chosen accommodation. You can visit our office for a pre-trip meeting when you are ready to know more about the technicalities of the Everest Base Camp Trek by Road Itinerary.

The guide and porter will arrive at your accommodation early in the morning, around 5 AM, in accordance with the Everest Base Camp Trek without Lukla Flight Itinerary, and they will then drive to the Jeep station as instructed. After traveling for five hours along the BP Highway, you will arrive for lunch in the picturesque town of Ghurmi. The ride from Ghurmi is considerably more enjoyable by the road's route via rivers, agricultural terraces, lush fields, and villages. From Ghurmi, it takes around four hours to reach Phaplu through Salleri, and it takes another three to four hours to travel off-road to reach Thamdanda, which is the destination for today. Overnight lodging will be provided in a tea house at Thamdanda.

Today's Everest Base Camp Trekking by Road without a flight to Lukla begins at Thamdanda and takes two hours of ascent to reach Paiya. The route then descends to the Surke via a rhododendron grove. Once past the remnants of a century-old Buddhist Chorten, the trail then follows the Dudhkoshi River to the Chaurikharka below Lukla. You will reach Chheplung after a short distance on foot and join the main Everest Base Camp path there. You will now notice a large group of hikers arriving from the Lukla airplane. You will reach Phakding, the home of the Sherpa, after another two hours of leisurely walking through villages, woods, and some long-ass bridges. Overnight lodging will be provided in a tea house at Phakding.

You will begin your Everest Trek by the road along the river bank from Phakding after breakfast. After passing through the little town of Tok Tok, you will enter the Sagarmatha National Park at Manjo in three hours, where your paperwork and trekking permissions will be examined. Then, after crossing the suspension bridge, you will instantly descend to the Dudhkoshi River and enter Jorshale. After some time, you will cross the same river again over a suspension bridge, then go down the riverbank to the fifth suspension bridge, which bears the name Tenzing Hillary Bridge in honor of the legendary explorer. To catch the first glimpse of the top of the world from the right edge, hike through the jungle for two to three hours uphill to Namche Bazaar. Spend the remaining portion of the day exploring the beautiful Sherpa homeland while watching the National Park View Point sunset at the top of the town. In the naturally endowed Namche bazaar, spend the night at the tea house to see the stunning mountains.

Namche is a great place to acclimate during the 16 days Everest base camp trek without Lukla flight. With several government offices, Internet cafés, ATMs, restaurants, stores, and other amenities, it serves as the main hub for the Khumbu Region. Health professionals advise that during rest days, you should move about and be active rather than sitting still. Therefore, for the day, you can ascend to Thamo or Khunde. You can ascend to Khumjung village from Syangbuche's Everest View Hotel. Our guides will direct you to the Sagarmatha National Park Tourist Visitor Center, where you may discover more about the Sherpa Culture and the First Everest Climbers. You will also get knowledge of the fauna and flora of the Everest Region.

This is the sixth day of the Everest Base Camp Trek started via road. Your route to Tengboche will take you by breathtaking mountain vistas of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. After crossing the Dudh Koshi in three to four hours of walking, the main path descends through the alpine forest to the Phungi Tenga. This trail crosses two trail intersections, one coming from Gokyo Lake and the other from Khumjung. The Himalaya Thar and Himalaya Monals are best viewed from here as the route ascends through the forest. You will eventually arrive at Tengboche Monastery, a hill station with an amazing view of Ama Dablam, Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, etc. You will spend the night in a peaceful monastery community where you can admire the mountains from your window.

EBC Trek without Lukla Flight Route will descend through the jungle to Deboche from Tengboche, where there is a good chance you may spot endangered species including Musk Deer and Daphne. Following that, you will pass the little community at Milingo and cross the double-decorating bridge over the Imja Khola. As a massive route ascends to the ancient Buddhist Chorten and enters the lovely gate to enter Pangboche town, the view of the Ama Dablam can be observed from a much closer distance. To reach the picturesque community of Somare, it will take a continuous 3 hours of walking along the tree line to small shrubs planted. From Somare, it takes two to three hours to reach Dingboche. The journey to Dingboche is completed while taking in the beautiful scenery. Due to the significant risk of Acute Mountain Sickness at such a high altitude, it is preferable to check your oxygen saturation with the Oximeter we gave our guide before proceeding.

This second rest day is for acclimatization, as stated in the Everest Base Camp Trek by jeep Itinerary. After breakfast, you can take a trek up the hill behind the village on the northern side. Observe this picturesque valley's path to Island Peak for breathtaking views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse. The quick ascent to Island Peak makes for a leisurely afternoon excursion. Going up to Chhukung Ri is another alternative, from which you can see peaks like Island Peak, Ama Dablam, Makalu, Tawoche Peak, and others. For a beautiful view of the Chhukung valley, which has Kangtega, Ama Dablam, Taboche, Lobuche east, and several more magnificent peaks, you may also hike to Nagarjuna.

You will need around five to six hours to hike from Dingboche to Lobuche today, which is above the town of Pheriche. Everest Base Camp Trek without a Flight Route will pass through a meadow area with a few abandoned buildings after ascending the slope above the Dingboche. Reaching the lovely community of Thokla, which is located right at the edge of the Khumbu Glacier, requires a three-hour delightful trek with breathtaking mountain views. Then, for the next 45 minutes, the path climbs steeply to the Thokla Pass, where you can view several monuments honoring climbers who perished during the trip. It will take around 20 minutes to walk to the Italian pyramid hotel. After another two hours of walking around the Khumbu Glacier, you will reach Lobuche, where you may spend the night.

The most significant day of your Everest Base Camp Trek by Road is today since you will arrive at Everest Base Camp. The journey starts in the morning from Lobuche and takes three hours across the Khumbu Glacier to reach Gorakshep. After checking in at Gorakshep's guest house and leaving all of your belongings there, you will walk to Everest Base Camp. It will take around 2 to 3 hours to reach Base Camp from Gorakshep. While visiting EBC, it is suggested that you pack enough water, use a flashlight, wear warm clothing, and carry additional equipment. There are a lot of expedition groups in the Everest Base Camp during the spring hiking season. While exploring the Khumbu Glacier and taking in the breathtaking mountain scenery around you, it is recommended to observe the Khumbu Icefall. From the Everest Base Camp, you cannot see Mount Everest itself but watching nearby mountain peaks will stun you. You need to return back to Gorakshep for overnight lodging.

Today, early in the morning, your EBC Trek without Dangerous Flight will head toward Kala Patthar for a spectacular dawn vista over mountain peaks including Mt. Everest (8,848.86m), Mt. Pumari (7,145m), Lingtren (6,695m), Khumbutse (6,623m), Changtse (7,550m), and Nuptse (7,879m). The Kala Patthar is quite challenging to ascend. To be rewarded with a once-in-a-lifetime experience and incredible natural beauty, it will take two hours of arduous ascent. The best vantage point to observe Mount Everest at its closest range is from Kala Patthar. After spending some time on the summit of the Kala Patthar, stroll to Gorakshep for breakfast before continuing your descent to the Pheriche, which will take 4 to 5 hours, and be at your accommodation for the night.

After breakfast, your road-based Everest Base Camp trekking will depart from Pheriche and descend down to Namche Bazaar. Even though it will take you 7 to 8 hours to complete the journey, you will enjoy the time spent retracing your steps and recalling the sights you have seen. Along the way, you will come across a number of streams, dense forests, exotic animals, stunning scenery, and so on. After a four-hour trek, you will likely eat lunch at Phungi Thanga before continuing on for another three hours to Namche Bazaar, where you will spend the night at a teahouse.

It will take around 6 to 7 hours to get from Namche Bazaar to Chaurikharka, your final destination for the day. It will be a long trek, as the majority of the route descends beside the Dudhkoshi River through a tropical forest and Sherpa hamlet. On your return trip to Chaurikharka, you will see the same countryside and mountain views once more. From the opposing directions, your perspective will be different. To ultimately get to Chaurikharka, you must once again pass through picturesque towns like Larja Dobjan, Monjo, Bengkar, Ghat, and Chheplung. After entering the teahouse in Chaurikharka, you may travel to Lukla, which is 20 minutes away, if you are interested in visiting the world's most perilous airport.

According to the Everest Base Camp Trek by Road Schedule, today is your last day of hiking. You will trek to Surke, which will take around 45 to an hour, after eating breakfast in Chaurikharka. From there, you will rise through the forest to the Paiya (Chutok). The trail then descends to Thamdanda for the following hour before continuing fairly straight to the Khari La. After entering the tea house in Thamdanda, our Guide will finalize the jeep journey to Kathmandu for the next day. You will have supper with crew members as you celebrate your accomplishment on this final day of hiking.

You will rise early today and take a four-wheel-drive Jeep to Kathmandu. The journey from Thamdanda to Salleri via the Kahrikhola, Jubing, and Andheri is difficult and takes 4 to 5 hours. However, you will switch to a jeep to return to Kathmandu, which will take 8 to 9 hours. While traveling from Salleri back to Kathmandu, you may take in the scenery. Arrive in Kathmandu in the evening, then spend the night there before continuing on to your next location.

Today, you will travel back to your home from Kathmandu and continue your adventure to many destinations across the world. We will drop you off at the airport three hours before your flight time. We hope you had a great time with us and made some wonderful memories. Thank you very much for joining us, and have a safe journey to your destination.
